Water and Fluids

Drink Lots of Water and Fluid

An athlete's body needs lots of water in order to work properly. To get enough water, an athlete should be drinking at least 10 glasses each day. If you don't drink enough water, you might feel tired during the day or get a headache. Athletes lose water when they are training because they sweat. Athletes need to drink every 15 -20 minutes when they are active. An athlete should drink even when she is not feeling thirsty or she might get dehydrated. Bring a water bottle to your training sessions and drink, drink, drink!
